Mission Statement

To actively promote recreational fishing within the Fraser Coast Area. This will be achieved through conducting tutorial information and best practice sessions with our members and juniors, coupled with interaction and participation with other community clubs, schools and community groups.

Club Members Benefits

We thank you for joining or considering joining our club, as a member pf our club you have access to special benefits which are both financial, social as well as educational.

Financial Benefits

  • The club’s financial year is October to September, as a financial member, you are entitled to attend the Annual Trophy Presentation Dinner held in November. Proceeding the presentation there is a dinner, which is included in your annual membership fees for that year. The value of the meal cost the club between $25 and $30.
  • Incorporated in your membership fees is provision for reciprocal life membership with the Hervey Bay United Sports Club.
  • Members are encouraged to purchase a club shirt for $35 the shirt is subsidised $17 by the club to cover the correct purchase cost from the supplier
  • Member can receive a 10% discount from Aquaholics on labour costs for servicing and repairs to their boat and outboard motor.
  • Members are provided with a club BCF card, which will allow you a discount of up to 20% at the Hervey Bay BCF Store Only, for goods that have not already being discounted in the store.
  • Members who fish in the monthly fishing competition can win Trophies and Prizes in various categories, which are presented at the AGM Presentation Night in November.

Non – Financial Benefits

  • Members can mix socially and fish together in our two away weekends.
  • Social gatherings at weigh-ins, raffles, BBQs, Fundraising Sausages Sizzles and Events.
  • Access to the knowledge of anglers who have fished the local area for many years.
  • Access to members who can assist in set up of your boat electronics.
  • Interaction with a group of members who love having a great time, catching fish and promoting fishing with the local community and other community clubs.
  • Members, with the permission of the Committee may use the Clubs Shed and BBQ Trailerfor Private Functions.
